The Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD) provides weather alerts and advisories to deliver life-saving information that enables sectors and the public to prepare for, anticipate and respond to extreme weather events. These alerts highlight imminent or ongoing hazardous conditions such as heavy rainfall, storms, strong winds, floods, heatwaves and other severe weather phenomena.
