The season moves from cool, stable conditions in June, to peak cold in July, then rapid warming and drying in August. Day and night temperature differences will be large, afternoons in the western half of the country may be 16°C to 23°C warmer than the nights, with the smallest swings near large water bodies. Plan for both extremes every day.
